A Mac mini with a second life. A small, real-world lab for streaming, building and exploring what existing hardware can still do.

A computer doesn't stop being useful when you stop using it.

This project starts with a simple question: what can we build with the machine we already have?

We are turning an older Mac mini into a hands-on environment for web prototypes, media workflows and infrastructure experiments. Real hardware, real constraints, and room to try, break, understand and build again.

Small footprint.
Real infrastructure.

An existing machine, a focused stack and a direct path from an idea to a working experiment.

The web entry point. It serves lightweight pages and routes specific requests to local applications. This project page lives on the Mac mini itself.

What if we
tried this?

Some experiments are already taking shape. Others start with your question. Choose a direction to see a possible first step.

what's next.

  1. 01 / In place

Put the machine back to work.

Recover a useful role for the hardware. Set up remote operation, web serving and a media stack.

  2. 02 / Current focus

    Try. Document. Repeat.

Build small experiments, understand the limits and turn each test into a clearer, repeatable process.

  3. 03 / On the horizon

    Make room for more people.

Explore coordinated access for collaborators who want to build something here or bring their own old machine back to life. Scope and availability will be defined together.
